Gratitude Journal Week Two: When Life Gets Sour Sweeten it With Gratitude

I honestly believe in the power of keeping a gratitude journal. It is a simple habit and it only takes a few minutes a day.

It is the key to a happier life.

Gratitude Journal Week Two

  1. I am grateful to Beth and James for finding us a place to live. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
  2. I am extremely grateful for having Honey Bunny in my life because she gives me reason to keep moving when I am down, she is the sunshine in my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
  3. I am grateful for having a mattress to sleep on.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.
  4. I am grateful for all the moments that get me through the day. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
  5. I am grateful to my Mom for loving me unconditionally and always being on my side. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Never under estimate the power of your gratitude journal. It is one of the best tools to give you an attitude for gratitude. And subsequently bring you sustainable happiness. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Inspiration from Deepak Chopra

I have to be completely honest, I had never heard of Deepak Chopra until I read The Magic by Rhonda Byrne.

But who is Deepak Chopra?

This is what I have read, Deepak Chopra is:
  • World-Renowned Mind-Body Healing Pioneer
  • Founder of the Chopra Center for Wellbeing in Carlsbad, California
  • Spiritual Philosopher
  • Writer
  • Alternative Medicine Practitioner
  • Physician
  • Public Speaker
  • Writer
  • Holistic Health/New Age Guru

Wilkipedia has this to say about Dr. Chopra: "He is a controversial figure. According to a 2008 article in Time magazine, he is "a magnet for criticism", primarily from those involved in science and medicine. His critics accuse him of creating a false sense of hope in sick individuals which may keep them away from effective medical care.

Chopra has written more than 65 books, including 19 New York Times bestsellers. His books have been translated into 35 languages and sold more than 20 million copies worldwide. Chopra has received many awards, including the Oceana Award (2009), the Cinequest Life of a Maverick Award (2010), Humanitarian Starlite Award (2010), and the GOI Peace Award (2010).

I would like to share a quote by Deepak Chopra.  “To experience gratitude is the most effective way of getting in touch with your soul. When you are in touch with your soul you eavesdrop on the wisdom of the universe. You feel connected to everything in creation. You embrace the wisdom of uncertainty and you sense your Self as a field of infinite possibilities. Gratitude is the most effective way of getting there. The reason is because when you are experiencing gratitude, ego moves out of the way. You can’t have ego and gratitude at the same time, Only one.”

It Really Works Like Magic

Inspirational Quotes

"If you take any activity, any art, any discipline, any skill - take it and push it as far as it will go, push it beyond where it has ever been before, push it to  to the wildest edges of edges, then you force it into the realm of magic."
Tom Robbins (B. 1936),
Writer

Rhonda says, "You should love your job, whatever it is, and be excited about going to work, and you shouldn't settle for anything less. If you don't feel that way about your current job, or if it's not your dream job, the way to receive your dream job is by first being grateful for the job you have." Page 71, The Magic.
